TTSPH Group Learning & Development Management & Support
The TTSPH Group Learning and Development team supports learning & development across the entire TTSPH Group.
TTSPH L&D are responsible for providing training support to the Ela & Asco Academy based in PNG and Fiji, respectively.
The training department is responsible for developing Management Training Pathways for all disciplines; Service, Parts, Body & Paint, Sales, Tyres & Batteries and Technical Training for Toyota, Hino and Yamaha.The Training Pathway outlines the available courses and maps the qualification of staff as they progress through the Pathway.
A bulk of the course materials are prepared by TTSPH L&D and these courses are delivered by the local trainers in country. As well as creating new training material the team have revised existing training material to maintain current industry standards. Each course contains a set of course and post-course assessments that measure the level of knowledge retention, as well as daily practice at the workplace.
Apart from classroom training of full-time employees, the L&D Team also look after the Technical Apprentices that go through the training program.
Training is planned with the use of the Training Calendar and Training Records maintained separately for each department. One of the key performance indicators for the Training Department is accreditation rating. Each department has its own accreditation target based on the training hours available and number of courses scheduled in the Training Calendar.
TTSPH L&D team also assist with the Group Skills Contest held every year.
