Cancer Council

On Friday 2nd June, the Brisbane TTSPH Team gathered to share a morning tea in support of the Cancer Council.

The Cancer Council is an Australian non-profit organisation that aims to raise funds to support those impacted by cancer, particularly through research, patient care, prevention and early detection. The Cancer Council takes pride in improving the quality of life for those living with cancer, and constantly strives to find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.

For morning tea, each staff member was encouraged to bring a plate of food to share with all staff. As indicated in the image below, there was a great spread of food that was enjoyed by all.

At the lunch, a raffle was also held to raise money to donate to the Cancer Council. There were many winners, and we hope that you all enjoyed your prizes! Staff also enjoyed a round of trivia, with questions centered upon the theme of tea.

As a team, we raised a total of $266.00, which was a great effort all around! Mr Shida kindly matched the funds that we raised and added $34.00 to round the total donation from TTSPH to $600.00.

We hope that as a company we can help to make a difference for those impacted by cancer and support Australia to take big steps towards a cancer-free future.
