1958 – First shipment of Toyota to the South Pacific an FA truck delivered to Vanuatu.
1960 – Twelve Land Cruisers delivered to Papua New Guinea – While Samoa was delivered the Toyota Crown.
1963 – Ela Motors becomes the authorised Toyota Distributor in Papua New Guinea. While Fiji received the Toyota Tiara.
1964 – Eighty Toyota vehicles including FA Truck, Crown, Corona, and Stout were delivered to Samoa.
1965 – Over one thousand units shipped to TTSPH South Pacific Group since brand introduction. While American Samoa received first Toyota units.
1966 – PNG – Ela Motors showroom and service centre opens for business at Badilli.
1968 – Asco Motors Tonga opens it’s branch at Nuku’alofa.
1971 – Asco Motors American Samoa opens up at Pago Pago.
1972 – Asco Motors Samoa opens it’s showroom and service facilities.
1981 – Fiji record 1,634 unit sales in this year.
1987 – Asco Motors Vanuatu Port Vila facility is burnt down.
1992 – TTSPH Brisbane Head Office is established after the joint venture with Burns Philp and TTC Japan.BPT 75% share and TTC 25% share.
1993 – TTC takes the option to increase its shareholding to 50%.
1998 – November TTC pruchase the remaining 50% from Burns Philp and the Company name changes to
Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings Pty Ltd (TTSPH)
1999 – The American Samoa Pago Pago branch is refurbished.
2002 – TTSPH Moves from Cribb Street to Coronation Drive (across the road).
2003 – TTSPH celebrates 40 years of service throughout the South Pacific.
2005 – TTSPH Group sales pass the 3000 unit mark for that year.
2006 – Ela Motors Papua New Guinea refurbish their main showroom at Badili in Port Moresby.
2007 – TTSPH Group sales pass the 4000 unit mark for that year.
2009 – Avis commences business as a fully owned Asco Motors subsidiary in Vanuatu. While Ela Motors PNG opens it’s 16th branch at Waigani in Port Moresby.
2013 – TTSPH Celebrates 50 years of loyal service within Papua New Guinea. To celebrate Ela Motors also make a substantial contribution to the people of PNG with medical kits that are distributed to 4 main hospitals throughout PNG. During this year TTSPH head office relocates from Milton across the Brisbane River to South Brisbane.
2014 – Ela Motors new showroom opens in Waigani shortly before the country celebrates it’s 39th year of indepedendence. This is also the launch of the new dedicated Yamaha retail outlet called ONESTOP.
2015 – The 8th Generation Hilux is launched across the South Pacific Dealerships
2016 – Hino launches new 500 Series in PNG
2017 – New Generation Coaster bus and Fortuner is launched
